The US dollar slowed growth

The US dollar slowed its strengthening against the basket of currencies in anticipation of the results of the Fed meeting. See Market Focus… Some pressure was exerted by flat data by the US ISM.

• The index of employment in the manufacturing sector by ISM in October was 59.8, which is below the previous value of 60.3.
• The index of business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) from ISM in October fell to 58.7, against the previous value of 60.8.

The US dollar index thus retreated from the session’s high at 94,774, but still maintains a positive attitude.
