The US dollar loses advantage

The US dollar loses advantage, despite some support provided by positive data on construction in the US.

• According to previously published data, the number of building permits issued in October rose to 1.297M, against the previous value at 1.225M.
• The volume of construction of new houses in October rose to 1,290M, exceeding the September value at 1,135M, which had only temporary provided support for the US currency.

The negative dynamics of world stock indices continues to exert pressure on the US dollar, which reduces the demand for risky assets. See Quotations.

The US dollar index retreated from the session maximum 93.850 and continues to show a rather low-key dynamics during the American session.
