The US dollar maintains a strong position

The US dollar maintains a strong position against the basket of currencies against based on the positive data on open vacancies in the labor market. According to published data, the number of open vacancies in the labor market JOLTS in September was 6093M, which exceeds the previous value of 6090M.

Based on this statistics, the dollar index moves near its highs in anticipation of today’s speech of Janet Yellen. In case Yellen confirms the Fed’s policy regarding the increase in the discount rate in December, the US dollar will receive significant support and strengthen its positions more strongly against the basket of currencies.
