Analysis of the American trading session

During the American session on Monday, February 5, 2018, the US dollar strengthened its positions against most of the major market currencies. Support for the US currency is provided by strong Friday labor market data, which exceeded the forecast of analysts. Also, support to the American was provided by the growth of profitability of government bonds and positive data from the US ISM.

• According to published data, the index of purchasing managers in the non-manufacturing sector from ISM in January rose to 59.9, exceeding the previous value at 56.0.
• The index of employment in the non-manufacturing sector from ISM in January was 61.6, against the December value of 56.3.
• The index of business activity in the non-production sector in January was 59.8, which is higher than the previous value at the level of 57.8.
