Analysis of the American trading session

During the American session on Monday, January 8, 2013, the US dollar did not change its position against most of the major currencies of the market. Support for the US dollar is provided by the chances of raising the Fed’s interest rate in March 2018. During the trading session on Monday, the US dollar index rose by about 0.45%, updating the daily high to 92.13.

The single currency continued its decline against the US dollar during the American session. This was facilitated by technical factors and a decrease in the EUR/USD cross-rate. The British pound strengthened its position against the US dollar during the American session, regaining all the lost positions in the first half of Monday trading, which helped restore the profitability of government bonds in the UK.
