Analysis of the American trading session
During the American session on Monday, November 27, 2017, the US dollar strengthened against most of the major market currencies. In general, this growth in the US currency was due to a partial profit-taking by investors, after the weakening of the US dollar in the first half of trading. Also, support for the US dollar was provided by positive data on sales of new housing in the US. See “The US dollar is recoving!” .
The Canadian dollar fell significantly against the US dollar in US trading, losing more than 80 positions. It was caused by a deep correction of WTI oil, after a significant strengthening in the past week because of the termination of the Keystone oil pipeline, through which the oil is transferred from Canada to the USA.
