Expectations for the upcoming week
The economic calendar is full of events in early August after the publication of US data last week. The upcoming working week will mainly be devoted to the meetings of the World Bank and inflation data. So, the results of the meeting of the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will be published this week, on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Preliminary data on UK GDP the US inflation will come also this week on Friday. Special attention should be paid to the inflation report in the US, which will also influence the probability of rates increase at September Fed meeting.
In addition to statistics in the calendar, the market continues to assess the risks associated with the trade confrontation between the US and China, which can be developed after these negotiations have reached a deadlock on the threat of new duties.
