U.K. retail sales fell in October, after rising a month earlier. Despite the preservation of the downward dynamics of this indicator, this decrease remains above the minimum annual value. This indicates a moderate slowdown in UK sales.

The British pound actually reacted with restrained growth to weak data. Since the overall value of sales in a slowdown in the economy remains very positive. The GBP/USD pair maintains lateral dynamics on the weakness of the US dollar, limiting itself to the side channel from 1.2880-1.2900 to 1.2820-00.
