State of the market: the dollar remains under pressure

Trading on Friday opened with a restrained decline in the US dollar index against a basket of competitors. It was caused by the risks of not taking the budget for 2019 in the United States. The growth of uncertainty in the adoption of the US budget came to the fore after yesterday’s correction against the decline, which was caused by the Fed meeting results. Now investors are selling off the dollar on the risks associated with the government shutdown without adopting a budget.

Since the beginning of the day, the dollar index has updated resistance at 96.50, which is the upper limit of the downward channel. A further decline of the American dollar will be limited to the level of 96.20, breaking through which will open the way to the support levels of 96.00.
