Market focus

On Thursday, 18.10.2018, the economic calendar will be eventful. In the morning, market attention will be focused on trade balance of Japan and employment in Australia. According to the trade balance of Japan, negative data is expected against the background of trade opposition. As a result, a growing trade deficit is highly likely. Australia’s employment report is also expected to slow down, but general dynamics of the Australian labor market is expected to be positive.

In the afternoon, market attention will shift to the UK retail sales data and manufacturing activity in the United States. It is expected a decrease in the UK sales, that is not surprising after weak  inflation data in the UK. Expectations in the United States also remain low-key, which will limit the dynamics of the American dollar.
