On Thursday, March 7, the focus of the market will be on the ECB meeting results and the subsequent press conference. Also  an employment data in Switzerland and preliminary employment data in the United States are worth noting.

At 02:01 –  RICS house price balance (Feb) UK will be announced,  forecast  -20%,  previous value  -22%.

At 02:30 – data on retail sales in Australia will be released:
– Retail sales (m/m) (January), forecast  0.3%, previous value  -0.4%.
– Trade balance (Jan), forecast 3,000B, previous value 3,681B.

At 08:45 – employment data will be published in Switzerland:
– Unemployment rate in Switzerland, non-seasonally adjusted (Feb), forecast  2.7%, previous value  2.8%.
– Unemployment rate in Switzerland, seasonally adjusted (Feb), forecast  2.4%,  previous value  2.4%.

At 10:30 – the UK data will be released:
– House price index from Halifax (m/m) (Feb), forecast 0.1%, previous value -2.9%.
– House price index from Halifax (y/y) (Feb), forecast 1.0%, previous 0.8%.

At 12:00 – Eurozone GDP data will be announced:
– GDP (q/q) (Q4), forecast 0.2%, previous value 0.2%.
– GDP (y/y) (Q4), forecast 1.2%, previous value 1.2%.

At 14:45 – the ECB meeting results will be published:
– Deposit facility rate,  forecast -0.40%,  previous value  -0.40%.
– ECB marginal lending facility,  forecast 0.25%,  previous value 0.25%.
– Interest rate decision  (Mar),  forecast 0.00%, previous value  0.00%.

At 15:30 – the US data will be released:
– Initial jobless claims, forecast 225K, the previous value of 225K.
– Nonfarm productivity  (q/q) (Q4), forecast  1.6%, previous value  2.2%.
– Labor costs (q/q) (Q4),  forecast  1.6%,  previous value 1.2%.

Also at 15:30 -construction permits (m/m) (January) in Canada will be announced, forecast  -5.0%, previous value 6.0%

At 15:30 – the ECB will hold a press conference.
