FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The upcoming week will continue to be saturated with significant statistics, including inflation data and publication of the protocols of the Central Bank of the Eurozone and the United States.
The start of the week will become saturated unexpectedly with news thanks to data on the trade balance of Japan and inflation in the eurozone. Eurozone data will be taken especially sharply amid expectations of the ECB protocol. On Tuesday, the importance of the economic calendar will decline, and the RBA meeting protocol is worth highlighting from the published news.
On Wednesday, it is worth noting a number of significant data in the afternoon: an inflation report in Canada, sales on the secondary real estate market in the United States and the publication of the FOMC protocol. The FOMC protocol may increase the volatility of the American dollar, especially against the backdrop of expectations of rates cuts in the United States.
Thursday is saturated with data on the index of business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) of the eurozone and the United States. But the ECB protocol will be published also on this day, which will set the mood for the euro.
Friday’s close also promises to be very volatile thanks to data on retail sales in New Zealand and Canada, sales of new homes in the United States and a speech of the US Federal Reserve Chairman Powell. Powell’s speech remains a significant event amid expectations of a rates cuts in the US.
The US – China trade talks are worth following of the fundamental risk factors. The risks of a slowdown in the US economy and measures to stimulate it, in particular lower key interest rates, may shift to the forefront.
