FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
A significant number of meetings of world central banks are expected during the week, including: Australia, USA, Japan and the UK. Also expected to be published data on inflation in the eurozone, the UK and Canada.
At the start of the week a small amount of news will be released, on Monday the market will swing after the weekend. Significant statistics should be expected from Tuesday, where the RBA meeting results, economic sentiment in Germany, inflation data in the euro area and data on construction in the US will be published.
On Wednesday, the saturation of the economic calendar will continue to grow. On this day, there are inflation data in the UK and Canada. The main event of the day and week will be the results of the US Federal Reserve meeting, which is expected to maintain key interest rates unchanged, but the Fed will be expected to hint at lower rates in the future. It may put pressure on the American dollar on expectations.
On Thursday, New Zealand GDP data will be published, the Bank of Japan meeting results are expected. And the main event of the day will be the publication of the Bank of England meeting results , which is expected to preserve monetary policy.
At the end of the week, on Friday, the economic calendar will retain its richness of news. The day is full of data on business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) in the eurozone. It is also worth to highlight retail sales in Canada and data on the US housing market.
Of the fundamental factors of the week, the market will focus on the US Federal Reserve monetary policy. At the same time, the possibility of pressure attempts on the Fed by US President Trump is not excluded. Risk factors for the market continue to be the risks of a trade war, political uncertainty in Europe and fears of a worsening military conflict in the Middle East.
The corporate reporting calendar for the week will be almost empty; a small number of reports will be released.
