EUR/USD today: euro slowed its growth
On Thursday, trades on the pair EUR/USD pass below the opening level, which is mainly due to the optimistic FOMC protocol and the Fed’s intentions to raise rates in September. As a result, this pair forms a turn from the resistance level 1.1600-20, but it remains to bargain in an uptrend.
Events for today:
- 14:30 – the ECB meeting minutes on monetary policy will be published.
- 15:30 – initial jobless claims.
- 16:45 – data on US business activity.
- 17:00 – data on US real estate.
The main event of the day is the publication of the ECB meeting minutes, which is expected to keep a low-key rhetoric, against which the American dollar can receive support from the upcoming news.
The pair EUR/USD after updating the high at 1.1620 moved to correction, which will be limited to levels 1.1550 and 1.1520-00. In conditions of the ECB’s restraint, the correction for the pair may intensify, but everything will depend on the text of the ECB protocol.
