EUR/USD today: the euro remains under the pressure from risks

The EUR/USD pair on Monday opened with a moderate movement in the flat. The pressure on the euro is exerted by uncertainty due to elections in the eurozone. Also it is worth to note the persistence of risks in the market and the uncertainty that puts additional pressure on this pair.

The economic calendar at the start of the week is empty, which will have an additional deterrent effect on the market.

EUR/USD remains under the pressure from political risks and negative market sentiment, despite the expectation of a correction against Friday. Therefore, we can expect a continuation of the decline of the euro against the US dollar in the conditions of continued pessimism in the market.

Deals for the sale of for the euro should be considered in the area of ​​1.1210-00.

Resistance levels are 1.1220 and 1.1240, fixing above which will cancel expectations of decline. Significant support and goals are located at the levels: 1.1170 and 1.1150.
