The US dollar remains positive

The US dollar continues to recover against the basket of currencies, after a significant decline the day before, as comments by the head of the Federal Reserve Service Powell disappointed the market participants. See “Analysis of the US trading session”.

At the moment, some support for the US currency is provided by mixed data on business activity in the United States.

• The index of business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI) in March rose to 55.7 points, exceeding the previous value of 55.3.
• The index of business activity (PMI) in the services sector declined to 54.1, against the previous value of 55.9.

The US dollar index continues to recover positions, while the nearest targets for the growth of the index are 89.50, 89.60.
