The US dollar continues to lose its earned position in the first half of the trading on Wednesday. Additional pressure on the American currency is provided by mixed data on retail sales in the US.
- According to published data, the base retail sales index in February showed an increase of 0.2%, exceeding the previous value of 0.1%.
- In turn, retail sales decreased by -0.1% in February, while analysts expected the growth of the index at 0.2%.
Against the backdrop of this statistic, the US dollar index continues its decline, with the closest support levels being the levels of 89.50, 89.36.
