Analysis of the past week

The week passed under the power of market sentiment, despite significant events. The main generator of statements that influenced the market remained by the US President D. Trump. The president started the week with a statement about the resumption of the trade confrontation, but already on the grounds of car imports. And he continued with the cancellation of the meeting with the leader of North Korea, thereby arranging in the market distinguished sentiments, which for several times a day changed polarly. As a result, stock exchanges close the week in a significant minus, and 10-year Treasury securities returned to the level of 3%.

In addition, the US currency was able to benefit from the growth of negative sentiment and renewed the high of December last year at 94.20, thereby maintaining the overall upward trend in the US dollar index and opening the way to a significant resistance of 94.50.
