Analysis of the past week

The second week of December was very rich in statistical and fundamental factors that had a significant impact on trading. At the end of the week, it is worth noting the very high volatility, which was largely due to statistics, and the uptrend of the US dollar index. In fact, it has become fundamental to the movement of the dollar index last week.

At the end of the week, the US dollar index closes with an increase, with a high of 97.70 updated against a basket of competitors, indicating the uptrend remains intact, but limited to overbought and the existing channel. In the conditions of closing the week and the possible correction of positions before the US Federal Reserve meeting, which will take place next week, it is possible a move against Friday with a test of support : 97.50-40 and 97.20.
