Thursday, January 10, is full of news, among which are the inflation data in China, the ECB protocol and the speech of  the US Federal Reserve Chairman.

At 02:01 – UK data will be released:
– BRC retail sales (y/y) (December),  forecast  -0.3%,  previous value  -0.5%.
– RICS house price balance (December), forecast -10%, previous -11%.

At 02:30 – NAB business confidence index will be published in Australia, previous value  3.

At 03:30 – an inflation report in China will be released:
– Consumer price index (CPI) (m/m) (December), forecast 0.3%,  previous value  -0.3%.
– Consumer price index (CPI) (y/ y) (December), forecast 2.1%, previous 2.2%.
– Producer Price Index (y/y) (Dec), forecast 1.6%, previous value 2.7%.

At 08:45 – the unemployment rate in Switzerland (non-seasonally adjusted) will be announced (December), previous value  2.5%.

At 14:30 – the ECB meeting  minuteson monetary policy will be published.

At 15:30 – initial jobless claims in the US will be released, forecast  225K,  previous value 231K.

Also at 15:30 – data for Canada will be released:
– Building permits (m/m) (November), forecast -0.5%,  previous value -0.2%.
– New housing price index  (m/m) (November), previous value 0.0%.

At 19:00 – the speech of the Fed Chairman Mr. Powell will take place.

At 23:45 – construction permits (m/m) (November) will be published in New Zealand, previous value  1.5%.
