FOCUS OF THE DAY: Inflation data in the euro area!

Today, at 12:00 Kiev time, the latest inflation data in the Eurozone for October will be published. The consensus forecast is that the report will show consumer prices rose 2.1%, unchanged from the preceding month. Perhaps more important will be the indicator of core inflation, without volatile energy and food prices. According to forecasts, the core figure is seen inching up to 1.0% from 0.9%.
Last week, the European Central Bank confirmed plans to wind down its massive stimulus program by year-end and raise interest rates sometime after next summer, even amid mounting signs that the euro zone economy is wilting under global pressures. (Investing.com)
