The last working week of August will be full of statistics.
The start of the week will be restrained by statistics, and from the published data business sentiment in Germany and orders for durable goods in the USA are worth highlighting, which will have a local impact on the market. On Tuesday, the economic calendar will be held back on data. On this day, it is worth highlighting data on German GDP and consumer confidence in the United States. Wednesday will remain restrained, data on construction in Australia, the consumer climate in Germany and oil reserves in the United States will be published.
From Thursday, the saturation of the economic calendar will be maximum. Of the published data, an employment data in Switzerland and Germany deserve special attention. But the US GDP will be the main event of the day and week, from which they expect a moderate slowdown, which may exert corrective pressure on the US currency. On Friday, the economic calendar will remain saturated. From the published data, data on inflation in Japan, inflation and employment in the eurozone, spending in the US and GDP in Canada are worth highlighting.
Among the fundamental factors, the results of the Jackson Hole symposium are worth highlighting, which will set the tone at the beginning of the week. It is also worth noting the risks associated with the US-China trade talks.
