FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The second week of July wouldn’t be extremely saturated with important statistics, but several important events stand out, including inflation data in China, industrial production in the UK, economic sentiment in Germany and open vacancies in the US (will be released on Tuesday).
On Wednesday, the market will focus on the OPEC meeting and the results of the meeting of the Bank of Canada.
On Thursday, it is worth focusing on the IEA meeting, the ECB protocol and inflation in the US.
The corporate calendar is more saturated than last week. Reports will be published by: PepsiCo (PEP), Fastenal (FAST), Yum! Brands (YUM), Entergy (ETR), Progressive (PGR), Citigroup (C), JPMorgan (JPM), PNC Financial (PNC) and Wells Fargo & Co (WFC).
At the beginning of the week, we should expect an increase in the risks associated with the trade confrontation between the US and China. So, on Friday, new tariffs on goods from China to the amount of $ 34 billion entered into force. Earlier, China announced that it will apply similar duties on goods from the US, which investors will end up waiting for at the weekend and at the beginning of the week. (Anton Hanzenko)
