Expectations for the upcoming week
In general the upcoming week promises to be very restrained by the published statistics, especially at the start of the week. So, in the first half of the week we will expect moderate statistics, which will have a limited impact on the market.
Starting from Wednesday, market attention will shift to the UK GDP data and manufacturing production in the UK. And by the end of the European session, attention will shift to the US producer prices, which promises to return activity to the market on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the economic calendar will be eventful also. Particularly noteworthy is the publication of the ECB protocol and data on consumer prices in the United States, which will be the main events of the upcoming week.
Of the unplanned news, the market will continue to monitor the Brexit negotiations, which have accelerated noticeably and are supporting the British pound. Also, do not forget about the trade opposition of the United States and China, which remains the main factor of negative sentiment on the stock markets. (Anton Hanzenko)
