Expectations for the upcoming week
A number of significant statistics on key world economies are expected this week. In addition to statistics, the week will include meetings of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and a number of speeches by representatives of the Central Banks.
In addition to economic data, the market will also expect new data on the situation with Brexit, which is at a political impasse due to a reluctance to compromise. The main risk factors for the market remain the US-China trade negotiations, which renewed after the US refused to levy duties on Chinese goods. Negative sentiments returned to the stock markets and cast doubt on the possibility of ending the trading confrontation.
From the published statistics in the week is to highlight:
- the RBNZ meeting results on Wednesday,
- U.S. GDP data on Thursday,
- U.K. GDP data, inflation in the eurozone and Canada’s GDP on Friday.
