Expectations for the upcoming week
The first week of April will be full of significant statistics. So, on Monday market attention will be focused on data on business activity in the manufacturing sector (PMI), which will set the mood in the stock markets. On Tuesday, the day is less saturated with data. At the same time, it is worth highlighting the RBA meeting results, which is expected to use soft rhetoric and hints of lower rates. On Wednesday, market attention will be focused on data on business activity in the services sector (PMI).
In the second half of the week, the economic calendar will also be full of statistics. On Thursday, the main event of the day will be the publication of the ECB meeting minutes, from which no significant changes in the monetary policy of the eurozone are expected. On Friday will be published an employment report in the United States, which will be the main event of the week. Expectations for employment in the US for March remain quite optimistic, after a weak February report.
