EUR/USD today: the pair is waiting for correction against Friday

After the widespread decline in the US dollar on Friday, a low-key correction of the American dollar is traced in the market. EUR/USD is also no exception and has shown a slowdown since the start of the day. In the face of rising negative sentiment in the stock markets, the movement against Friday may intensify.

Events for today:

• 16:00 – ECB President Draghi will speak.
• 16:30 – Speech by the Bank of England Governor Carney.

The day today is full of speeches by representatives of the Central Bank of Europe, which may cause a rise in volatility.

EUR/USD is overbought after Friday’s growth and is limited by the resistance of 1.1430. Against the background of growing pessimism in the stock markets and the oversoldness of the American dollar one should have expected a corrective decline. Significant support is located at levels: 1.1370 and 1.1340.
