The US dollar strengthens positions: the US GDP data

The US dollar continues to strengthen its position against the basket of currencies based on the positive preliminary data on the US GDP for the third quarter. According to published data, the US GDP growth in the third quarter was 3.3%, exceeding the previous value of 3.0%. The deterrent of the stronger strengthening of the American is the slowdown in the growth of the GDP deflator to the level of 2.1%, against the previous value of 2.2%. Also, see “Market Focus“.

Based on this statistics, the US dollar index is approaching a significant resistance at the level of 93,400. The breakthrough of this level will open the way to the level 93,650.
