WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE DOLLAR?

Market participants closely monitor the dollar today. At 14:30 (Kiev) we are waiting for a block of news on the States!
Let’s focus on the most important:
- 14:30 – Change in the number of people employed in the non-agricultural sector.
The change in the number of employed in the non-agricultural sector measures changes in the number of employed during the last month in the non-agricultural sector. The total number of people employed in the non-agricultural sector is about 80% of the workers who produce the entire volume of the United States gross domestic product.
This is the most important part of the data contained in the employment report, which offers a better overview of the economy.
Monthly changes and adjustments to the data can be very volatile. Indicators higher than expected, are considered as positive/bullish direction of USD, and indicators below expected indicate a negative/bearish market for USD.
- 14:30 – Unemployment rate.
The unemployment rate determines the percentage of the total workforce that is unemployed, but actively looking for work and ready to work in the US.
A high percentage indicates weakness in the labor market. A low percentage is a positive indicator for the labor market in the US and should be taken as a positive/bullish factor for the USD.
- 16:00 – Index of business activity in the non-manufacturing sector (PMI) by ISM.
The index of business activity in the services sector of the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) (also known as ISM services) reflects activity in the service sector for the previous month.
Any values above 50 indicate an extension, while values below 50 indicate a reduction.
It has less influence on GDP than the index of production activity (ISM). Indicators higher than expected, are considered as positive /bullish direction of USD, and indicators below expected indicate a negative/bearish market for USD.
