The US dollar slowed growth
The US dollar slowed its growth against the basket of currencies, amid a decline in the profitability of the US government bonds, which on average dropped by about -0.60%. Also, some pressure on the American currency was provided by data on open vacancies in the labor market.
- According to published data, the number of open vacancies in the labor market in December was 5.811 million, which is lower than the previous value of 5.978 million.
The index of the US dollar based on this statistic has receded from the maximum of today’s trades, at 89.92, while maintaining its upside potential.
