State of the market: pessimism returns to the market
Trading on Wednesday opened with a moderate growth of pessimism on the stock exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region. Stock indices of China and India demonstrated the main negative dynamics, indicating the persistence of concerns about the trade confrontation. The foreign exchange market also did not stand aside and demonstrates a decrease in the value of commodity currencies, despite the restrained upward dynamics of the raw materials market. Since the beginning of the day, the New Zealand dollar has remained under the pressure, which, in addition to risks, has come under pressure from weak construction data.
From the start of the day, the US dollar index has been trading with strengthening, limiting itself to the current week high, actually forming lateral dynamics on correction and restricting itself to the trading range from 98.10-20 to 97.90-80. With the continued growth of pessimism, the strengthening of the American dollar is not ruled out.
