THE MOST IMPORTANT STATISTICS OF THE WEEK!

This Friday, at 15:30 (Kiyv), perhaps the most important statistics of the week will be released – this is data on the labor market in the US for March. In particular, data on the unemployment rate for March, the number of jobs created outside the agricultural sector and the dynamics of the average hourly wage for March will be published. The lower the unemployment, the higher the employment outside agriculture and the higher the salary, the higher may be the future inflation and the greater the probability of another increase in the interest rate in the US, which, as we know, should be increased twice more by the end of the year, or be, and three times, if inflation significantly exceeds the target level. Strong statistics can positively affect the US dollar’s rate against world currencies.
Also, at 20:00, Baker Hughes will publish a weekly report on the number of active oil production platforms in the US. The more active platforms, the more actively the production of shale oil in the United States is, and the more negative this indicator is for the oil market.
And at 20:30 there will be a speech by the head of the Fed, Mr. Powell, which can stir up the already worried market.
Also on this day we are waiting for a couple of significant publications on Canada, namely:
- At 15:30 – Change in employment;
- At 17:00 – Index of business activity (PMI) Ivey.
