FOCUS OF THE DAY: The decision on the value of the interest rate
Dear traders,
It is predicted that the Fed will decide to raise the interest rate by a quarter point as a result of a two-day meeting, which will end at 20:00 (Kiyv).
The statement of the US central bank will be carefully analyzed by market players, who want to get additional information about the pace of monetary tightening by the Fed this year.
In December, the Fed made a forecast of three interest rate increases in 2018, but Powell’s positive economic assessment at the end of last month gave rise to forecasts that there will be four such increases.
