FOCUS OF THE DAY: The final value of US GDP for the first quarter!

In the United States will be published the final figures on the value of economic growth for the first quarter (the report will be released at 15:30 Kiev time).
According to analysts, the US economy for the first quarter of 2018 will show growth of 2.2% on year. This value wouldn’t be revised after a preliminary evaluation. In the fourth quarter, US GDP grew by 2.9%.
Probably, the US GDP data wouldn’t change the forecasts for monetary policy after the head of the Fed Jerome Powell predicted once again a gradual increase of the interest rate last week.
The current growth of the US economy is the second longest in the history of the country. Further impetus to the growth of the US economy was given by a significant tax cut. The probability of a slowdown in US economic growth before the end of this year remains low. (Investing.com)
