Quarterly reports of American retailers are in the focus of the last week of earnings

This week only 10 S & P 500 companies will publish their quarterly reports. Retailers reports will be the last serious wave of quarterly reports of US companies for the second quarter.
The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) report will be released on Tuesday, Macy’s quarterly report (NYSE: M) is scheduled for Wednesday, and the world’s largest retailer Walmart (NYSE: WMT) will present its financial performance for the quarter on Thursday .
Other retailers reports next week include reports by Nordstrom (NYSE: JWN), JC Penney (NYSE: JCP) and Children’s Place (NASDAQ: PLCE).
Also this week, their quarterly reports will be presented by NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA), Deere (NYSE: DE) and Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO).
At the moment, quarterly reports of companies were stronger than market expected. About 90% S & P 500 companies have already published their reports for the second quarter. At the same time, 76% companies have reported better-than-expected earnings. (Investing.com)
