State of the market. The US dollar remains under pressure

Over the past few hours, the main instruments of the currency market have shown a decrease in volatility, due to the absence of a significant catalyst in the market and partial fixation of profit on short positions of the US dollar. Also, this dynamics of currency instruments is associated with a decrease in liquidity in the market at the beginning of the American session, in connection with the celebration of Martin Luther King’s Day in the States. Due to the lower liquidity, one should expect consolidation on the most major foreign exchange instruments.

The US dollar index slowed its decline, but still remains near the low of today’s trading, while losing about -0.47% of the positions.
