Overview of the main drivers: Stock indices and oil

The main European stock indices are traded in the green zone during the trading on Wednesday. The British FTSE 100 remains near the zero mark, thus not affecting the movement of the pound. DAX and CAC 40 on the average added about 0.45% to the quotes, thereby exerting some pressure on the single currency. See Quotations.

Oil prices remain positive in the course of trading, an average added about 0.30% to the quotes, which allows commodity currencies to hold their positions against the US dollar pending the publication of FOMC protocols. Also, see “Oil (current news)“.
