Overview of the basic drivers: Stock indices and oil

The main European stock indices show mixed dynamics in the course of trading on Tuesday. The British FTSE 100 shows a decline of -0.25%, thereby supporting the pound. DAX declined by about -0.02%, in turn CAC 40 adds about + 0.18% to the quotations, thereby putting some pressure on the single currency.

Oil prices remain under pressure during European trading, losing on average about -1.05%, thereby putting pressure on commodity currencies against the US dollar. See “Oil (current news)”.
