FOCUS OF THE DAY: Report of the Federal Reserve Chairman Powell!

Today, Fed Chair, Jerome Powell is set to deliver his semi-annual monetary policy testimony on the economy of the US before Senate and Congress committees.
Powell should report on the economic situation before the Senate Banking Committee at 5 pm Kyiv time. At the same time on Wednesday, Powell will address the House Financial Services Committee and Senate Banking Committee .
The text of the report will be published 90 minutes before the start of Powell’s speech.
Powell’s statements can give clues as to the time and amount of the next Fed interest rate hikes.
The Fed’s semi-annual report on monetary policy, which was sent to the US Congress last Friday, pointed to stable economic growth. The Fed confirmed its plans for a gradual increase of the interest rate. (Investing.com)
