Overview of the main drivers: Stock indices and oil

The main European stock indices show mixed dynamics in the course of trading on Thursday. The British FTSE 100 opened the session with growth, but then lost all positions, approaching the zero mark and thereby supporting the British currency against the US dollar. DAX and CAC40 added to quotations of about 1.00%. In turn, this does not put pressure on the euro against the US dollar, amid a general weakening of the US currency. See Quotations.

Oil prices lost some of the gained positions during the European session, while the price of Brent fell below the zero mark by -0.22%, WTI still retains plus, adding to the price of about 0.16%, against which the commodity currencies remain their positions against the US dollar in anticipation of data on oil and petroleum products in the States.
