Overview of the main drivers: Stock indices and oil.

The main European stock indices show mixed dynamics in the course of trading. The British FTSE 100 adds about 0.10% to the quotations, which does not affect the British pound. DAX and CAC 40 on the average added about 0.50%, thereby providing some support for the single currency against the US dollar. See Quotations.

Oil prices move in a rather narrow range during the European session, on average losing about 0.35% of quotations, which in turn does not exert significant pressure on commodity currencies. Also, see “Oil Today: Oil Keeps Negative Dynamics“.
