On Thursday, May 17, 2018, the market will be focused on two data blocks.

Thus, at the beginning of the day, a report on employment in Australia, which expects a noticeable increase in employed, after a decline at the beginning of the year. If these expectations are confirmed, the Australian currency can receive appreciable support.

The second block will be the publication of statistics on the US, where it is especially worth mentioning the index of production activity. Earlier this indicator showed a slowdown and the actual value above the forecast could be regarded as a very positive factor for strengthening of the US dollar.
