Market focus

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, in the first half of the day, the market will focus on data on New Zealand GDP, the results of the meeting of the Bank of Switzerland and data on retail sales in the UK, among which the data on the UK deserve special attention. From the UK  data a low-key decline is expected and, as a result, increasing pressure on the British pound.

In the second half of the day, attention will be focused on data on the US: production activity and sales in the secondary real estate market in the US, which will have a restrained influence on the US currency. The speech of the President of the Bundesbank Weidmann will close the day, and it can cause the growth of volatility for the euro.
