Market focus
On Thursday, August 30, 2018, the day promises to be saturated with statistics. At the beginning of the day, the Asian -Pacific session will focus on the data on Australia and New Zealand, which will set a very volatile tone in the market from the start of the day. Closer to the middle of the day, market attention will shift to the German data, namely to an employment report (10:55) and preliminary data on inflation in Germany (15:00). This will actually set the tone for the euro. Also at the end of the day, the speech of the President of the Bundesbank Weidmann (20:30) is expected.
At the American session, the market will expect data on the personal spending in the US, which have a restrained influence on the market, but in the current market situation they can strengthen the recent US dollar correction. Also at the same time, there will be data on Canada’s GDP, which will have an impact on the Canadian dollar.
