THE MAIN EVENTS OF THIS WEEK!

This week is full of meetings of many central banks around the world, but on Wednesday the attention of most investors will be focused on the Fed meeting. According to the forecasts, the US central bank will raise the interest rate by a quarter point.
This week also will be the last meetings of this year of the two largest central banks in Europe: the ECB and the Bank of England. However, it is very unlikely that officials of these central banks will want to rock the boat of cautious monetary policy.
Also, investors will be interested in the decision on the monetary policy of the National Bank of Switzerland.
Investors will also pay attention to data on the volume of industrial production in China amid recent signs of a slowdown in the second world economy.
Now, what is on focus:
- The decision on the value of the interest rate. The decision of the FOMC committee will be announced at 21:00 (Kyiv), Wednesday.
- Meeting of the Governing Council of the European Central Bank. The decision on ECB interest rate will be announced at 14:45 (Kiev) on Thursday. Analysts do not expect significant changes in monetary policy.
- The decision of the Bank of England – at 15:00 (Kiev), Thursday. A decision will be announced on the interest rate of the Bank of England.
- Decision on the interest rate of the National Bank of Switzerland. The National Bank of Switzerland will publish a quarterly report on monetary policy on Thursday at 10:30 (Kyiv).
- The volume of industrial production in China. The National Statistical Office of China will publish data on the volume of industrial production in China for November at 04:00 (Kiev), Thursday.
