Market Focus
On Thursday, November 30, 2017, attention should be focused on preliminary data on the Eurozone consumer price index. The consumer price index (CPI) measures the change in the prices of goods and services from the consumer’s point of view. This is the key way to measure changes in the purchase and inflation trends in the Eurozone.
According to the forecast, the growth of the consumer price index of the Eurozone in November on an annualized basis will be 1.6%, which is higher than the previous value at 1.4%. The base consumer price index on an annualized basis will grow to the level of 1.0%, exceeding the previous value of 0.9%. In case of data release within the forecast, the euro will receive support, so one should expect strengthening of the single currency within 30-40 points against competitors.
