FOCUS OF THE WEEK!

On Wednesday, the market expects the publication of the meetings results of the Bank of Canada and the US Federal Reserve, which will set the mood in the market. This is especially true for the US data. On Thursday, the publication of the ECB protocol is expected, from which no significant changes in monetary policy are expected. The reports on the UK GDP and inflation in the United States will close the week. Statistics on the UK GDP and inflation in the United States has a significant impact on national currencies as a rule, despite restrained expectations.
The corporate reporting calendar at the start of the year remains restrained.
From the fundamental news the meeting of the USA and China is worth highlighting. It will take place on January 7-8, where they will discuss the possibility of mitigating trade opposition between these countries, which will actually set the mood in the market for the first half of the week.
