FOCUS OF THE WEEK!
Dear traders,
The upcoming week promises to be saturated with statistics and meetings of the world’s Central Banks. At the same time, the focus on published statistics will shift from the United States towards the UK and the eurozone.
The start of the week will be very restrained against the background of low activity at the beginning of the day because of the weekend in Japan. In this case, the main event of the day will be the publication of the inflation report in the euro area with discreet data expected. Tuesday also does not promise to be saturated with statistics, but this day will be the RBA meeting minutes.
Starting from Wednesday, the economic calendar will be full of events, among which : the Bank of Japan meeting, inflation in the UK, real estate in the US and the press conference of the head of the ECB deserve special attention. Thursday will also be full of news on: New Zealand’s GDP, the publication of the Bank of Switzerland meeting minutes and retail sales in the UK. By the end of the week the saturation of the calendar will decrease and the market will expect data on business activity in the euro area and inflation data in Canada.
The corporate calendar is empty for the upcoming week.
Of the unplanned news – the market will continue to monitor the development of a new round of the US and China talks, where this time it was initiated by the United States, that, at a minimum, indicates the possibility of reducing risks. (Anton Hanzenko)
