Expectations for the upcoming week
The first working days of 2019 promise to be rich in statistics. And this is despite the fact that market activity, as well as trading volumes, remain low, which will preserve the effect of a thin market and will lead to multidirectional market dynamics.
Also, from the middle of the week we can expect a gradual increase in liquidity in the markets due to the return of major players. Published statistics on Thursday and Friday will contribute to this. The focus of the market will stay on data that will be released on Friday such as inflation in the Eurozone, US employment and the speech of the US Fed Governor, which will cause a significant increase in market activity at the end of the week.
