The US dollar remains under pressure

The US dollar is traded under pressure against most competitors amid mixed statistics on the US.

• The building permit amounted to 1.302 million, against the previous value of 1.303 million barrels.
• The volume of construction of new houses fell to the level of 1,192 million, against the previous value of 1.299 million.
• The number of applications for unemployment benefits amounted to 220.0 thousand, which is lower than the previous value of 261 thousand.

Based on this statistics, the US dollar index continues its decline, losing about -0.33% in the course of trading.
